Sign Up To Attend LEAN 101: Basics of Administrative Processes Workshop

 Impact Washington and Cowlitz Economic Development Council (CEDC) are partnering to host LEAN 101: Basics of Administrative Processes Workshop. The full-day training takes place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Cowlitz County Event Center.
This eight-hour session provides a practical overview of lean methodologies, real-world success stories, and interactive exercises that guide participants through the transformation of an imaginary company from a traditional environment to a lean environment. This workshop is ideal for business leaders, managers, and employees looking to enhance productivity, eliminate waste, and improve operational efficiency.
Participants will leave the workshop with the ability to:
✅ Identify and categorize the eight wastes of lean
✅ Recognize lean concepts as an industry standard
✅ Apply lean concepts to simple improvement projects
✅ Gain hands-on experience applying lean principles
Topics Covered:
✅ Workplace Organization (5S) – Creating efficient and sustainable workflows
✅ Batch Size Reduction & One-Piece Flow – Optimizing production efficiency
✅ Visual Controls – Enhancing workplace communication
✅ Efficient Facility Layout – Structuring spaces for productivity
✅ Standardized Work – Streamlining processes for consistency
✅ Quality at the Source – Reducing errors and waste
✅ Pull Systems/Kanban – Managing workflows effectively
A high level of involvement from class attendees is required. Participants will need to bring a laptop computer, or a tablet to the event, to do the training simulation that is part of the course.
Space is limited – registration required by March 14, 2025.
