Loan Packaging
Assistance Services Available:
The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic
Development offers loan packaging services to minority and women
business owners. Through the Community Development Finance (CDF)
Program, you may schedule an appointment with the finance specialist
assigned to your geographic area. The finance specialist will work
with you to identify public and private financing opportunities
and will assist you in preparing application materials.
Basic Information Needed From You
In order to assist your business needs and suggest appropriate
financing resources, the CDF finance specialist will need to review
the specifics of your business project proposal. Before you schedule
an appointment, please assemble the following basic information:
- A brief description of your business.
- Describe the market and product or service.
- Note proposed organizational structure
(proprietorship, partnership, corporation).
- Attach a résumé for each principal.
- A summary of your financing needs.
- Indicate amounts and sources of equity you will provide.
- State the amount you wish to borrow.
- Specify how you plan to use the money
(land, building, equipment, working capital, etc.).
- A business year-end financial statements for the past three
years.
- A business financial statement current to within 60-90 days.
- Personal financial statements for each principal,
current to within 60-90 days (use a bank form).
- Include copies of past three years' income
tax returns for each principal.
- A brief description of the type and number of jobs
to be created in the next two years.
- A copy of your OMWBE Certification.
Depending on the nature of your proposal, additional information
may be required.
